Winter Tags and Holiday Gift Bags

I put together a couple of holiday tags and quick gift bags to share today. For the Winter tags I started by die cutting the largest tag from white cardstock using the My Favorite Things Pierced Traditional TagStax  die-namics. I used distress ink to color the tag and add dots of snow with the white Signo gel pen. I die cut the three layers from white cardstock using the MFT tag and Stampin' Up Sleigh Ride Edgelits dies and adhered each layer using dimensional adhesive. I love all the extra dimension and think this would be a fun tag to add to a gift.

Supplies:
My Favorite Things Pierced Traditional Tags Stax Die-namics
My Favorite Things BB Toasty Greetings Stamp Set
Stampin' Up Sleigh Ride Edgelits Dies
Broken China Distress Ink
Versamark Deep Lagoon Ink
Signo White Gel Pen
White Cardstock

These gift bags were super quick to make. I used the My Favorite Things Paper Bag Die-namics and cut them from white cardstock and leftover gold glitter gift wrap. After cutting and assembling the bags I punched a handle using the Stampin' Up Word Window Punch. To finish the bags I added punched snowflakes and small tags. These bags are quick to make and would be great for class treats or small holiday gifts.

Elf Card and Tag Sets

I love the BB Santa's Elves stamp set and dies from My Favorite Things and today I wanted to share a couple of sets of cards and tags I created with this set. To make the cards I started by making three standard size card bases made from white cardstock and set them aside. I cut three panels measuring 4 by 5 1/4 inches, stamped a sentiment at the bottom of each one, and then embossed them using the Stampin' Up Softly Falling embossing folder. I adhered each of the panels directly to the card bases. I used the MFT BB Santa's Elves stamp set to stamp the three elves in the set using memento ink and then colored them with copic markers. I used the coordinating dies to die cut the images and added a bit of shimmer to the stocking, ornament, present, and jingle bells with the Wink of Stella pen. I wanted the elves to have a bit of dimension and have an interactive element while still laying flat enough to send through the mail so I decided to use an action wobbler to adhere each of the elves to the front of the cards.

I also used the My Favorite Things BB Santa's Elves stamp set along with the Clear & Simple Partial Tag Die. I stamped the elf images with memento ink and colored them in with Copic markers. I also added a bit of shimmer with the Wink of Stella pen. I used the partial tag die to cut the tag hole at the top of each image and then finished die cutting each elf with the coordinating dies and the partial die cutting technique. Quick and simple! I love this partial tag die and I can't wait to play with it some more when I have time.

Game On

Hello! I am back with another birthday card that would be fun to send to your favorite gamer. For this card I paired up a couple of dies from Papertrey Ink and My Favorite Things. The Papertrey Ink Rainbow Stripes die reminded me of the old Atari logo so I decided to pair it with the My a Favorite Things Game Controller die to make this fun birthday card.

I die cut the controller from a black metallic cardstock and die cut the stripes from bright fun colors to make the background pop. I also die cut the controller from a sheet of black fun foam and layered it with the cardstock controller for a bit of dimension.

I added the birthday sentiment to the inside of the card with VersaFine black ink.

Wishing you a Spy-tacular Birthday

Today I want to share a fun birthday card using Papertrey Ink's Secret Agent stamp set and dies. I started with a kraft cardstock base and used the Tim Holtz Tab dies to turn it into a file folder. I used my Martha Stewart scoring board to add the embossed lines to the bottom of the file folder.

I wanted the outside of the card to look like a file folder so I kept it super simple only adding a couple of stamped images from the set.

Here is a look at the inside of the card. I had a lot of fun combining all the stamps and dies from this set.

For the left side of the card I started with the My Favorite Things Notebook die to create the notebook page as my background and dressed up the bottom of the page with stamps from the Secret Agent stamp set. I then added the secret agent holding the magnifying glass with a secret message.

For the right side of the card I started by making an additional tabbed page from kraft cardstock and stamped a birthday sentiment with Hero Arts Latte ink.

I then made a magnifying glass to help reveal the secret message on the left side of the card. I wanted the magnifying glass to be held in place rather than float around the inside of the card so I used the Basic Grey Notch Tool to create two small tabs that can keep the magnifying glass in place.
