I Have Tape Issues!

The current issue at Paper Issues is .... Tape! I love all the new decorative tapes on the market. So many fun colors and patterns. I pulled out some of my favorite tapes, punches, and diecuts from my stash to create two cards.

For each of these cards I layered different tapes onto white cardstock and then punched or die-cut my pieces. For the first card I started with the Fiskars scalloped border puch and turquoise green border tape from Sweet Bella to create the border at the bottom of the card. I used Hambly Washi tape and KI Memories tape, an older sun punch along with Papertrey Ink cloud and balloon dies to create the pieces of my card. I also added some stamping from the Up, Up, & Away stamp set from Papertrey Ink to a couple of the balloons to add a bit more detail. I finished the card off with a sentiment from the Up, Up, & Away stamp set from Papertrey Ink and Hero Arts Wet Cement ink.

For my next card I did the same thing using more of the Hambly and KI tapes, but in addition to the sun punch, I used a Fiskars cloud punch and butterfly punches from Martha Stewart and Family Treasures. I also created a border around the card by masking off the center with cardstock and stamping with the Grid Pattern cling stamp from Hero Arts and Studio Calico. I finished this card off with another sentiment from the Up, Up, & Away stamp set and more of the Hero Arts Wet Cement ink.
