Xyron and Teresa Collins

Xyron and Teresa Collins have teamed up this week and I have two projects to share with you today!  Be sure to stop by the Xyron and Teresa Collins blogs for more inspiration and giveaways!

I received some of the gorgeous papers and stickers from the Teresa Collins Tell Your Story collection and put together a mini album and magnetic notepad holder to share with you. For the mini album I started by cutting Lori Whitlock's Pocket Mini Album file with my Silhouette Cameo. I kept the front of the album simple and covered it with the blue text paper from the collection. I added a stack of 3D butterflies I cut with my Silhouette to the flap. To keep the flap closed I used a couple of the Basic Grey magnetic snaps.

This album has four pocket pages so I was able to use one pocket for each of my kids.

I wrapped a 1 inch band around the outside of each pocket and embellished them with some of the hexagon stickers from the collection. I used the bands to hold the photos of my kids.

I added journaling cards to the pockets and I am going to use them to write messages to my children and the important things I want to remember about them at this age. The 12x12 small journaling cards paper was perfect for this. The paper is double sided- the front side has 12 journaling cards that can be cut apart and the back of the paper has a ledger print. Instead of cutting the paper into individual cards, I cut them into pairs and folded them in half. I embellished the front of the cards and left the inside with the ledger print blank to add my journaling. I love how these turned out and they fit perfectly inside the pockets.

I also made a box to store my album. I measured the finished size of my album and then handcut and assembled the pieces to make a drawer style box.

For my second project I started by cutting the Hanging Note Holder file with my Silhouette Cameo and assembled the pieces. In the top pocket I added a photo of my daughters and in the lower pocket I added a notepad and pen. I also added strips of the Xyron Magnet Tape to the back of the holder so I can attach it to my refrigerator.

I made a simple and quick notepad to fit inside the holder. I started by cutting a 5x7 inch rectangle from the orange text paper and folded it in half to make the cover. I also cut several sheets of plain white paper a 1/4 inch smaller than the cover and folded them in half. I wrapped white crochet thread around the cover and pages to keep them together. I added a couple of embellishments to the front and it was ready to add to the holder.
