Xyron and Basically Bare have teamed up this week to bring you some great projects. Be sure to stop by the Xyron and Basically Bare blogs for some fabulous inspiration and giveaways!
I received the Polly's Pockets Album to play with and decided to create a quick and simple album to document my kid's Christmas wishlists for this year. My kids have been writing letters to Santa or making wishlists since they learned how to read and write. It's something useful to help choose gifts each year and also another way to document some of their likes and interests each year as they grow older. I used the Handmade Holiday collection from Simple Stories in addition to the Xyron and Basically Bare products to create my album.
When you first open the album you'll find a clear pocket holding inserts for each of the pockets. Instead of removing it after taking out the inserts, I decided to use it to hold a fun poem I found on the internet by Kenn Nesbitt. This silly poem makes a fun intro page to the album. At least one of my kids always asks for something silly each year and this poem is a fun reminder of that.
This album has four pockets so it was perfect for me to complete a page for each of my children. For each page I included their hand written lists and a photo in the pocket. I also embellished the front of each pocket.
Supplies:
Basically Bare Polly's Pockets Album
Xyron 5" Creative Station
Simple Stories Handmade Holiday Collection
American Crafts Christmas Roller Date Stamp
Tim Holtz Mini Paper Clips
Fiskars 1" Punch
I hope you enjoyed my project and thanks for stopping by!

ReplyDelete'The Nice List' is actually part of the patterned paper from the Simple Stories Handmade Holidays Collection. I hope that helps!
This is a wonderful idea and something your children will appreciate and cherish so much some day! Thank you for sharing!
