Get Inspired with Pinterest and Epiphany Crafts

The Design Team was challenged to create a project using Pinterest as their source of inspiration. Pinterest is one of my favorite sources of inspiration and I love being able to browse hundreds of amazing ideas all in one place. Today I want to share a Tree Photo Display I made inspired by a simple craft for children I found on Pinterest.

I based my project off of this Fall Paper Bag Tree that can be found HERE on Pinterest.

To make the tree display start by gathering three white paper bags. Working at the open end of the bag cut strips about half an inch wide and about half the length of the bag.

Open one of the three bags. Hold onto the bottom of the bag and twist the middle section of the bag to form the tree trunk and base.

To form the branches of the tree gather and twist 2 or 3 of the strips together. Continue until all of the strips have been twisted into branches.

Leave the two remaining bags closed, but move the bottom flap so that the bag forms a "T" shape. Cut off the top of the "T" shape.

Twist the bottom of each of the two bags to form tree trunks.

Tuck one of the tree trunks into the tree base and add hot glue to hold in place.

Twist the strips together to form branches.

Repeat with the remaining tree trunk and you will have a completed tree. At this point you can adjust the branches of the tree. You can also add the tree to a small square frame with a 4x4 inch opening for a sturdier base.

Now that the tree is complete you can decorate your tree using favorite photos and Epiphany Crafts Shape Studio Tools to create a fun way to display your photos.
