Birdcage with Mini Album

Hello! I am back with another project using the Dear Lizzy Neapolitan collection. I just love the colors and can't get enough of these fun papers. For this project I created a 3D birdcage and added a very simply embellished bird mini album. I cut the birdcage and pedestal on my Silhouettes using SVG files from SVGcuts.  I love that the door can open and shut. You can see the bird a bit better in the second photo with the cage door open.

I added a few punched butterflies (Martha Stewart and Family Treasures) to decorate the outside of the birdcage.

I added a few charms to the pedestal. So pretty and fun!

A close up of the bird album hanging from the chain.

I also took a few photos of the bird album before attaching it to the cage.

I die cut the birds using my Big Shot and the Tim Holtz Caged Bird die. The bird was pretty small and I wanted to keep the mini album relatively flat and light weight so there are very few embellishments on the pages. I simply took banner stickers from the collection and turned them into wings on some of the pages and added heart shaped photos of my girls for wings on other pages.

I am linking up this project at Paper Issues where the current theme is Candy Shop. You can browse through all the yummy eye candy or you can link up your projects through March 31st. Stop by and show us what you have been creating!

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Oh my! I love the simpleness of this cage - with the crystal beads hanging down from the stand. You did an amazing job!
